Never did I imagine myself as a subway performer. Having done it a few times now it’s an experience I think all musicians should have. Online there’s an article that says even Paul McCartney did it. He dressed up in costume and performed on the streets for charity. The acoustics of a quite subway platform are like a large recital hall; the atmosphere of a busy station is energizing. Last night a man wrapped two quarters in a dollar and actually threw it across two tracks to the platform I was on. So cool.
