It was a pleasure to be a part of the Music Hall at the Ontario Center for the Performing Arts in Oswego. The finale was littered with a lot of talented up and coming musicians. The music teacher in me was cheering for the number of guys and girls sharing, enjoying, and inspiring the evening. The musician in me is now full of ideas. Jacob Johnson led the way as the headliner of the act (and killed it). The thing I can never get over is the uniqueness that each artist has. We’re all using the same basic instruments, language, major or minor scales, but there was massive variety and originality on display. Someone’s approach to doing something as simple as playing a G chord tells so much about his or her personality. Thank you to all the musicians that performed for being uniquely inspiring and more over, play on friends.
